Powers: Jean is an Omega Level mutant, viewed by many as the third most powerful mutant in existence of Marvel continuity (currently). Her permissions & opt-in/opt-out posts are here as to meet the comfort of all writers/their characters/maintaining the peace and tranquility of games being for fun. [Powers pulled directly from Jean's Bio.]

On many occasions, Jean has shown to have incredibly strong empathic powers that enable her to control, manipulate, and alter the feelings and sensations of others. Jean can read others thoughts, project and broadcast her thoughts, as well as affect the minds of humans and animals with higher-order intelligence

She has displayed the defensive ability to telepathically cloak/shield herself and others from detection and mental attacks. (The limit to which is defined by both the number of people she is shielding and the number of people who are attacking it.) She is capable of telepathic illusions/camouflage which cause people to be convinced that things appear alternatively to how they indeed are. (The limit to both of these being defined as harder the more people she is trying to convince of the illusions).

She has displayed the manipulative ability to control, alter, and erase another persons thoughts, memories, and personality. (This will only ever be used with prior planning and a player's verbal consent, and cannot be done to more than one person at a time.) She is capable of mentally sedating and helping heal mental trauma. (This cannot be done to more than one person at a time.)

She can, also, project psychic bolts that have no physical effect, but can cause pain and/or damage. Jean can, also, traverse and manipulate the Astral Plane and maintain psychic links. Jean will not be able to read or affect the minds/emotions of beings who are not considered “living” beings (such as the minds of robots, ghosts, etc.).

Jean’s telekinesis (aka projection of psychokinetic energy) enables her to levitate objects, propel or manipulate them how she wishes, lift herself and move through the air to simulate flight, generate concussive force as telekinetic blasts/ bursts, create protective shields, and with great effort transmute objects on a sub-atomic level (such as stimulating molecules to produce heat).

Personality —
Jean Grey hails from a world where mutants and humans have long been at war, whether implicitly or explicitly. The first student of Charles Xavier, after there death of her best awakened her powers at ten years old, Jean has grown up in this world and faced it front-forward as a superhero on the front lines. More than anyone else, Jean was groomed to be the heir of Charles’ Dream, having the same powers very much as him and more. Jean was devoted to The Professor unwaveringly for a long time: due to his saving her, raising her, instilling in her ‘The Dream,' and giving her the means to help make that dream come true.

Many things came along and changed Jean’s view of the world and life as she knew it. Being pulled from the past into the future, as a teenager, to fix the future X-Men’s problems; being thrown into the future on her Honeymoon to raise a child that wasn’t hers. Bonding with The Phoenix Force several times, leading both to the death of a planet and the saving of an entire universe's future. Her marriage to her childhood sweetheart and its many dramatic turns. Three children from alternate places in time or universe that look to her as their mother. The many revelations of the flawed humanity and problematic choices of her mentor. The several times that she died and came back to life, and the heartbreaking number of those that had involved her having to either take her own life or make a choice that she knew would, but always did to save those that she loved.

For all the trials and heartache Jean has endured, she returned this last time even more dedicated to the cause of peace between humans and mutants. That goal has always been a fractious and contentious aim, and none more severely than in the current era, when mutants have claimed both the island nation of Krakoa, the planet Mars, and, though still a secret, dominion over death itself.

Her dedication to her family -- including team, friends, and other Krakoan's -- is unwavering. Jean supports people at whatever level they are at and tries to ensure they know that she can see all they are doing. She has at turns both a sweet and slightly wicked sense of humor and irreverent respect for everything they've been through. A supportive it's better to laugh than cry, but her shoulder is here if you need it, too, air to her, and she's willing to be the person to step forward first to start that hug.

Jean is nowhere near perfect, but she aspires to a higher calling. She knows she can never balance the scales on the number of people killed while she was the Phoenix, but she will make each day, each life she touches and person she helps/saves count. While she is an omega mutant and considered one of the most powerful beings on her planet, she chooses love and kindness as her greatest weapons—the ones she wants to use most in her life and choices.

Gameplay —
Areas of Interest / Brainstorming: Jean might be interested in helping put a mental network together if there are more telepaths than just herself. She will feel drawn to collecting all of her team/people together into one place at first, to keep them safe and accounted for.
